Hello from Mike and Sue Dietz! After a decade-long search for the perfect Wisconsin retreat, we are pleased to welcome you to the historic Walker House. Originally from big cities (Chicago and Detroit), we've found the perfect northwoods getaway here in beautiful Hancock. To tell you a bit about ourselves, we live just north of Milwaukee and have three grown boys. Mike has been an educator and principal in the Mequon/Thiensville School District, and Sue has been a nurse in the ER for 30 years. We both love to be involved in community activities, so the Walker House is not only a retreat for our guests, but for us as well!

Thank you for considering us and we hope you enjoy your stay.

The first floor of the house features multiple areas for rest and relaxation. Our reading room has comfortable chairs to cozy up with a good book or play a game of cards with a friend. The living room has a gorgeous inglenook fireplace for those brisk winter evenings.
Breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres are served in our antique dining room with views of the secluded woodland. Or if all you would like to do is relax and listen to the crickets we offer a comfortable porch and garden.
